Director of Development

PORTFOLIO ENTERTAINMENT is a creative-driven, fast-paced children’s and family media company committed to embracing change and finding new approaches to storytelling. Our in-house animation studio is innovative and teeming with talent and our international distribution division takes our content worldwide.

We are currently looking for a DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT to join our development team. In this newly-created position, you will play a key role in finding new talent and fresh concepts and enjoy working with exciting media and emerging outlets. You will be a creative champion, thought leader and brand ambassador. You will be strategic while drawing outside the lines. If you love the industry, can pitch your heart out, and are looking for a role where you can make an impact, we want to hear from you.

 QUALIFICATIONS WE ARE LOOKING FOR: 

• Minimum 6 years experience in a kids and family content development role
• Demonstrated track record in developing kids shows from concept to production
• Established industry relationships with the creative community
• A content enthusiast with a thorough knowledge of children’s and family content across all media platforms
• You must live, eat and breathe cartoons!
• Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
